The AVAC is a life saving device for patients who experience sudden cardiac arrest. It has already received two US patents (US 8,631,790 and US 9,283,340) with patents pending in Europe and Asia.
The AVAC has 3 main components: An i-gel laryngeal mask airway that secures the patient’s airway, computer controller that regulates the timing and flow of oxygen to the patient and audio/visual metronome to assist the rescuer in providing proper timed CC and a small 100% compressed oxygen tank.
John and Christopher Di Capua founded Di Capua Brothers LLC to successfully bring the AVAC to market. They are currently working with medical device manufacturers to raise capital and obtain FDA approval.
